A lot has been happening underground in south-west Germany in recent years. That's how two bands made their names in the DeathCore branch.
On the one hand ICHOR from Trier, who only formed in April 2008 (with members of SILENCED IN A BROKEN MIRROR and WORLD ESCAPE) and on the other hand POINT OF INFLECTION, THE brutal institution from Saarland, who already have an EP in the can.
As an appetizer for the first long tracks to be expected later this year, both bands have come together to create this split CD.

At the beginning of 2009, both bands recorded three tracks each in the SU2 studio in Illingen/Saar and combined them into 25 minutes of concentrated energy - no neck is spared here!

Because Phil Hillen gave both bands the usual fat SU2 sound robe and can certainly be measured internationally with it.
In addition, both bands only know the straight way to the twelve anyway. Despite the basic stylistic similarities, ICHOR and POINT OF INFLECTION are each unique: POI shows off its moose-death roots with the two-part guitar runs, ICHOR with a little more progressive touch the penchant for bands like DESPISED ICON.

And both bands shine with their contributions: POI open the disc with "American Idol", a song that has been played live for a long time and was already well received by the fans there, no wonder with the many killer riffs from the guitarists Karsten and taibi "Revelations" hits the pit of the stomach with both fists just as adeptly; whether blasts or breakdown: Both are at the upper quality level. And that shouter Peter is a variable singer is already known - from grunts to screams he covers the complete extreme spectrum.
The POI contribution to the EP ends with "Echoes"; another rousing and fat grooving track. Here the rhythm department with Sascha (bass) and new drummer Schorsch comes into its own.
Damn, I'm so excited for the first work over a longer distance - if POINT OF INFLECTION can keep this level of quality, you will surely hear from these five guys on a wider scale soon!

The Moselaner ICHOR are hardly inferior to the Saarlanders. The already mentioned more progressive structure in the tracks doesn't make the songs sound as catchy as with POI; However, once you've listened to it a bit, "More Victims", "Deformed & Enslaved" and "Hypocrisy" bang out of the speakers more than officially. Eric roars and growls like there's no tomorrow and the string group around Alex and Daniel also churns out fat riffs on tape. Of course, with this kind of music, you also need a capable drummer and bassist; Dirk and Chris master this with ease. The only drawback: The sound of the bass drum doesn't really want to please, but that's just waste.
Also with ICHOR one can only look forward to the album, which is expected to be released in autumn.

Together they make a perfect double just waiting to be discovered by the brutal faction among you.
