After reading their news that they published on their website, I managed to find out that their bassist and vocalist were leaving, they also re-recorded their EP, perhaps this can be understood by listening to some tracks, for example, in Last Summer I Staged A Knife Fight you can’t hear the bass, but already in the split on the same tracks it is clearly audible. This is just my observation, if you have material from this band and CDs and are ready to rip, contact me. I created the cover based on the logo that I found on the metal archives, enjoy listening.

Line-up 2003:
Jeremy Hoover- Guitar, Vocals
Jason Johnson- Bass, vocals
Jamie Jahr- Drums
Steve Webster- Guitar

Founded in 2003, this hard working five-piece from Midland, Michigan has carved out a niche of its own through relentless touring, a blue-collar attitude, and an explosive live show parallel to the hardcore veterans who’ve been at it for years.

In an age when genre defying is contrived and trendy, these guys do it naturally. Their sound is weighty and catchy, but always immediate and spontaneous. One part tough, one part Swedish, all parts heavy and driving, they are merciless from beginning to end. With the likeness of an Unearth, A Life Once Lost, or As I Lay Dying, And the Sky Went Red have the distinct ability to change tempos and rhythms at the drop of a hat, or pummel the listener with a never ending breakdown.

With the four song Drowning in Despair ep under their belt, a full length being written, and having completed two East Coast tours, ATSWR are looking to spread their wings even further by continuing to write and tour. Keep your eyes peeled for the band's most powerful and scathing material on their full length - "Beneath The Weight Of Words Unspoken" - due out in late 2004.
