NIENTARA, hailing from CT, originally formed and began playing shows in the winter of 2001. Within their first couple of shows they gained instant recognition in their home state of Connecticut and throughout the New England hardcore scene for their music as well as their highly energetic live performances.

Their first 4 song demo was recorded and pressed before their first show, and within the next couple of months hundreds of copies had been sold. The success of the demo and the buzz that was quickly growing about them sparked interest in prospective labels, but Nientara ultimately decided that it would be in their best interest at the time to release their debut 5 song EP on Tribunal Records from North Carolina. After the release of "The Summer's End" on Tribunal, they continued playing show after show up and down the east coast, as well as embarking on 2 highly successful tours. As a result of their relentless effort and determination, countless copies of their debut record "The Summer's End" sold within the first 3 months of it being released.

Things were going great and only seemed to be getting better, but due to personal differences between the members, they decided to disband in the winter of 2002. After a 6 month hiatus, during which time bass player Nate Adajian moved to North Carolina to play for Goodfellow Record's Bloodjinn, original members Nate, Kris and Josh decided to reform the group and stop at nothing until they accomplished everything that they set out to do since the very beginning.

Now with a solid lineup and more motivation than ever after signing with Life Sentence Records, Nientara has their sights set on the future and are determined to take their music as far as they possibly can through hard work and constant touring, burning everything in their paths.
