In March of 2003 Nientara and A Thousand Falling Skies entered The Space Studios with Enoch Jensen of Barium fame with one purpose in mind…to bring the rock! After four grueling days filled with rock star excess the bands came out of the studio with six classic songs that cover the entire spectrum of 80s metal. From classic rock (Iron Maiden, etc.) to hair metal (Bon Jovi, etc) you are bound to find something on here that will make you want to poof up your hair, break out the spandex, and start to rock!
Don’t be fooled by the cover songs, though. Both bands bring the metallic hardcore sound to the covers creating a unique sound that is sure to appeal to all the hardcore kids. Think of this split as an 80s school and Nientara and A Thousand Falling Skies are your teachers. The kind of teachers who can teach at a level that even the most Friendster-ish of fans can understand. So sit back, pop in this CD, and learn about a time when metal was actually good.

As if six covers weren’t enough, A Thousand Falling Skies also included a new track entitled “Severed Hope & Broken Dreams” that they recorded with Zeuss at Planet Z Studios. The song is taking the band’s previous metallic hardcore sound to a whole new level. Be prepared to be blown away.

Recorded with Enoch Jensen at The Space in Greenfield, MA. Nientara recorded March 26th-27th, 2003 and ATFS recorded March 12-13, 2003. Track #7 was recorded with Zuess at Planet Z Studios in January 2003.
