We are a five piece death metal band from Indianapolis. After only a handful of shows, we've shared the stage with such national acts as Suffocation, Decrepit Birth, Vital Remains, and many more. We are currently recording our upcoming EP with Scott Bronner of Demericous, Mercykill, and Legion.
OUR REVIEW OF THE SUFFOCATION SHOW.
"Local openers Heavy Lies the Crown played to an almost full room. These newcomers are starting to make a name for themselves, and have cut their teeth by opening for high-caliber acts like Vital Remains. Their style was technical but not over-the-top: disarmingly complex riffs chugged as spasmodic leads wailed over fast blast beats and low-pitched growls for a combustible mush of noise. The audience responded enthusiastically to vocalist Dustin Boutwell’s sinister energy, forming the first circle pit of the evening. They closed their set neatly with a song that began with slow, dark harmonies, then flew back into whirling riffs and blasts and ended with a high, ominous solo over crashing drums."
