In the spring of 2003 Tyler (then on bass) and Kellyn Moyer (brothers) along with Jon Pease started playing music together with the intent to have fun and make music that they liked. Around early summer Alex Loucas and Jed Bridges, who had been in a band with Kellyn and Jon previously, jumped in the mix. Tyler then moved up to vocals and Jed took over on bass. At this time Blood Stained Sky was formed, even though the name didn't come till later. After writing songs, getting rid of songs, and re-writing songs Blood Stained Sky was finally strong enough to start playing shows. January 2004 they performed at Showcase Theatre in a Showdown. The crowd response was great and they showed everyone a glimpse of what they could do and what they were about. Since then they have been playing shows as often as possible and played with bands like: XDEATHSTARX, This Blessed Hope, Thyne Scabbard and Dogwood.
In December of 2004 Jon Pease decided to leave the band. Replacing Jon was good friend Nate Lopez. Blood Stained Sky is confident in the new line up and know that God will bless them through their music. Blood Stained Sky is a young band and can only get better and they definitely have the potential to do so. As a Christian band they are not afraid to say what they believe and try to represent Jesus Christ in all they do, not just in their music but also in their everyday life.
