Now A Murderer’s furiously fast style is so ruthlessly confrontational that those who dare to see this band live will be incapable of doing anything besides throwing themselves into an uncontrollable frenzy on the dance floor. Anyone who has seen their performance at the 7angels 7plagues reunion show or Backflips and Breakdowns 2006 can attest to the indisputable fact that this band is pure brute fury. Their debut record, Only Way to Continue, will see it’s release in Spring 2007, and will leave its listeners devastated.
Now A Murderer formed in early 2005 and features ex-members of some of Milwaukee’s most colossal metal bands. They share the vision that the music they grew up with and love should not perish. With Chris Lopez’s fierce vocals, Mark Clark and Ross Monagle’s murderous guitars weaving back and forth, and a precise and pounding rhythm section provided by Tim Heinlein on bass and Vince Edwards on drums, this group will take their genre by force. Be clear, though: Now A Murderer is not setting out to merely mimic any of it’s members’ previous bands - this band is no cliché. This alliance will chart new territory and firmly place Milwaukee back on the map. For those not so easily convinced, let’s just say that if you respect the sounds of midwestern metal bands, past and present, Now A Murderer will not disappoint.
